Sad news. It’s like a pin sharp needle that gently pierces the skin of an air-tight balloon. It’s very gentle. Sometimes, even after the initial prick has been removed, you don’t notice. It still bobs gaily on the string, it still defies gravity, but if you tilt your head slightly, you can see it has begun to dip. The sheen on its taught cheeks seems a little duller. The tiny pocket of air seeps out faster and faster. It dulls your senses, it trickles into your mind, and the balloon sinks lower to the ground.
